Writing For Fun 1

“No! What reason do you have to be able to make friends with our priceless daughter? You, a filthy little peasant boy, better keep your presence away from our daughter, do you understand?!” Without looking at him for another second, her mother forcefully drags her away from the boy. The last thing the girl saw, was the door closing on the boy’s tear stricken face.

Tears dripped from his face as he ploughed hard at the little piece of land that belonged to his family. He did not understand why did her mother behave like that. He wished to meet the girl again, and is willing to go through a huge extend just to fufill his wish.

The same goes for the girl, who spends most of her time lying on her bed and thinking about the boy. She too, could not understand her mother’s behaviour. Why must her mother interfere into her own life? Why can’t she have the freedom of living her own life? On days, she would cry on the staircase, thinking about the day when he was taken away from her. While other days, she would be in her room, folding paper cranes, thinking about the day when they finally meet again.

One day, while her mother was not looking, she sneaked out of the house to see him, holding his hand, and bringing him to a secret garden that belonged to her, somewhere in the field. It was where she poured out all her troubles and frustrations to him, who would sit there quietly listening, occasionally encouraging her to cheer up.

He is just like a pillar of encouragement for the girl, constantly giving her strength to endure all the hardships, without giving up. She longs for the time spent in the secret garden. She longs for someone to listen to her. She longs for someone to be there for her. He has done it all.

Days, weeks and months passed, and the boy was always there for her. He has said “I’ll be beside you when you need me” and has indeed proved it.

One day, the girl brought the boy to the garden again. This time, she said to him, “Save me, they’re telling me how to feel, this is difficult, but it’s real, but don’t be afraid, we’ll make it out of this mess. I trust us.” She put her hand on his.

Suddenly, he knelt to the ground, held her hand, and said “You’ll never have to be alone, I love you and that’s all I really know. I talked to your mom and she said ok… It’s a love story, baby just say yes…”

Seeing how much effort the boy has put in to maintain this friendship and now, a relationship, the girl took a deep breath, and with all her might, screamed.

“YES!”
